This legendary Georgian ensemble, established in 1945 by Iliko and Nino Sukhishvili, is "the first and original" national dance troupe. Now led by the founders' grandchildren, the company maintains and enriches cultural traditions spanning over eight decades.\n\nThe performance features virtuosic male dances with acrobatics, jumps and spinning swords alongside graceful female performances — including the ensemble's signature male dancing en pointe. Elaborate costumes are adorned with silk embroidery, stones, and metallic details, accompanied by a live orchestra performing rare folk instruments. The troupe has performed at prestigious international venues including the Metropolitan Opera and La Scala.
